Lucky Tigre is a must-visit Filipino food truck in Tampa! The bao buns were soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. Their chicken BBQ skewers were perfectly grilled—juicy, smoky, and so tasty! I also tried their pancit, which was delicious, though it had a slight sweetness (you’ll love this if you’re looking for Chapchae!), and I was craving a more savory, classic pancit flavor that day. Still, everything was fresh, well-cooked, and full of Filipino goodness. Definitely coming back for more!

If I could give them more stars I would. Such an amazing couple. Absolutely fantastic food and such a great selection. They host events for the Filipino community. Truly a great addition to the Tampa market. Thank you for the pork belly. We will most definitely be back.

Personal thanks to Lucky Tigre for catering my daughter’s graduation party. Delivery was on time, young lady was super sweet and most importantly, the food was fire!

Food was amazing! Staff were super friendly and helpful! They are remodeling the building behind them so the food truck is a temporary location. They deserve lots of love and we will definitely be going back again! 11/10

Ordered the Bao Buns - Mochi-fried Chicken, Dumplings - Tocino Pork, and Garlic Jasmine Rice. All three were good. Would have benefited from some hot sauce, but there didn’t seem to be any available. The food truck has a small seating area. Thx fully it was cooler out. Would be very uncomfortable in summer months. I’ll definitely be back to try other items.

In town for work and stumbled across this gem with a colleague. We ordered a lot of food so we could try a bunch of things and everything was just outstanding. Great seasonings, super fresh, and perfectly prepared. The mochi fried chicken Bao buns were piping hot and so delicious. Same with the fries. And the lumpia. And the pork dumplings. Just yes yes yes to it all! We also got some of the fun drinks and a halo halo to end the meal. It is a food truck setting right now, but the seating area was shaded with umbrellas and pleasant. Heard that they will be building out a restaurant in the building on the next lot and I am excited for them to have an indoor restaurant spot soon. Go check it out. You won’t regret it! Oh, also did not take photos of the food because we were so busy eating it while it was hot. But here are the drinks!

READ THIS: The best asian restaurant in Tampa may be this unassuming food truck. For real, Huge Flavor modern Pilipino cuisine made with love and care. Julie did pop-up dumplings events during covid and the lines were around the block. This restaurant is created and operated by a lovely young couple who have been at the center of independent markets, food and culture for years. Lucky Tigre is so good it has made it challenging to enjoy some of the other high-end asian offerings in town that costs 100 per person. It’s not that I hope they build a restaurant. The food truck serves them - I wish a location with a tropical outdoor setting worthy of the fresh colorful and vibrant deliciousness they lay down day after day. A

Y’all - skip the pricey mediocre meals on the waterfront and opt for a casual, delicious, and creative meal at Lucky Tigre instead! It was my first time in Tampa and I was only there for 36 hours - there was no time for bad food. My friend and I ordered 5 things to share: Halo-Halo, Tocino Pork Dumplings, Lechon Kawali (crispy Pork Belly over rice), Mochi Fried Chicken Bao Buns, “Lucky” Fries with Tamarind Aioli (wow!). We also had the Calamansi Lemonade and Pandan Coconut Milk Tea - both refreshing on a hot evening. It was all divine - cooked perfectly and the perfect mix of authentic flavors and fusion twists. Things to note: (1) it’s a food truck with a few outdoor tables (cute yellow umbrellas over each), (2) it’s located in a gentrifying area - not much else around it for a post-meal stroll, (3) the chef is Filipina, (4) word on the street is they are opening a restaurant right behind where the food truck currently is!
